Taxi Council: Taxi Drivers Wrongly Blamed For Road Rage

"A lot of road users are subject to abuse from other road users, I'm not sure exactly why they've picked on taxi drivers," Qld Taxi Council CEO Blair Davies said to the ABC.

"Certainly we're possibly seen as an easy mark, a very identifiable group on the road and it is a little bit surprising. It's very discouraging when we see these sorts of survey reports, but we have to acknowledge that it's a very stressful job driving a cab and evidently some people find our cabbies can be aggressive on the road and rude," he said.

The survey also found that over 50 percent of taxi drivers used bad language.
