Police are yet to find any sign of a taxi driver who disappeared from north-west Sydney two days ago.

The blood-stained taxi being driven by 67-year-old Robert Woodger was found abandoned at Eastwood on Wednesday morning.

A university student faced court yesterday charged with the taxi driver's murder.

The court was told Xunfei Gu admitted he had been in Mr Woodger's taxi, but he denied killing him.

A prosecutor told the court large pools of blood inside the taxi led police to believe Mr Woodger had been killed.
